Julie Lockeridge

Principal, Lockeridge Aged Care Solutions

Julie has been in financial planning since 1995 and aged care was the natural progression given the aging client base and her natural affinity with the aged.
Julie started her working life as a nurse, where she worked with both geriatric and paediatric patients, and then as a nurse educator. After a stint of working on her parent’s dive boats, she then moved on to the financial sector, first, at Advance Bank, during which time she completed her Dip FP with Deakin University, and then at Whittaker Macnaught. When assisting a client to move into aged care, she found it enormously challenging as there was limited aged care information available. Fortunately, she attended an estate planning seminar where Rachel Lane was presenting, and this sparked Julie’s interest in studying more on aged care. The rest they say is history, and Julie derives much satisfaction by making both the financial and emotional process easier for her clients when the time comes to move to aged care.
